I’m Holding Out For A Hero ‘Til The End Of The Night | Lush X Shrek Range,

When I went to see Shrek The Musical at the Alhambra Bradford, I would have loved to have used some kind of Shrek themed Bath Bomb, Bath Oil or Bubble Bath in my Bath the Night before the Show to get me a little bit more excited. Unfortunately though, I couldn’t really find that many Shrek themed Bath products, and the ones that I did manage to find were sadly out of stock. That’s why when I saw that Lush had released an online and in App exclusive x Shrek range, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Shrek Swamp Bath Bomb, and a Bottle of Fiona Shower Gel, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

The Shrek Swamp Bath Bomb.

Do the roar!
Don’t be a Farquaad! Unleash your very own Swamp at Bath Time with the rich, deep scent of Chocolate mixed with a refreshing minty and spicy top – thanks to Peppermint, Pink Pepper and Vanilla.
It might be swampy, but the blend of Rhassoul Mud, Oakmoss and Seaweed will leave your Skin feeling really, really softened and cared for.

How to use.

Want to indulge in the ultimate Shrek Care? When you’re feeling the urge to create a real swampy soak, fill a Bath with Warm Water and tumble your Bath Bomb straight in to conjure up a Swamp to rival Shrek’s own.

How to store.

Keep somewhere cool and dry.

The Fiona Shower Gel.

Really really!
You’ll be ogre-joyed with this fragrant Fairytale Blend, with notes of Green Apple, Melon and fancy florals transformed into a beautifully cleansing Shower Gel.
Packed with Vitamin C, fresh Cucumber Juice cools and soothes the Skin while giving it the healthy, radiant glow of an Ogre in love.

How to use.

Why wait for Prince Charming? Just like Fiona, you can take care of this one yourself! Work into a lather on wet Skin and rinse away to leave your Skin feeling Fairytale fresh and fruity.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cocoa Powder, Dipropylene Glycol, Pine Oil, Vetivert Oil, Peppermint Oil, Cocoa Absolute, Carrageenan Extract, Fuller’s Earth, Rhassoul Mud, Arame Seaweed, Water, Dried Oakmoss, Charcoal Powder, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 47005:1, Colour 42090:2, and Colour 45350, I thought that it had a delicious deep and mossy yet ever so slightly masculine Pine scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking through a Swamp after it’s just finished raining on a drizzly Autumn Afternoon.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Green all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous dark Brown all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Green to turn my entire Bath a stunning Shrek Green colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Dried Oakmoss and Arame Seaweed all over the surface of the Water that left behind some really silky soft feeling Water.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and mossy yet ever so slightly masculine Pine for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Fine Sea Salt, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance, Lactic Acid, Fresh Cucumber Juice, Mango Leaf Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Persian Lime Oil, Buchu Oil, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 47005:1, Colour 42090:2, and Colour 45350, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly sour Green Apple scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bag of Sour Apple Slices Sweets.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Bubble Bath rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Bubble Bath into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly sour Green Apple for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My Overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Shrek Swamp Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, and the Lush Fiona Shower Gel a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Shrek Swamp Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and mossy yet ever so slightly masculine Pine scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained  so many pieces of Dried Oakmoss or Arame Seaweed as it took quite a lot of effort to clean them all up after I had used it. I really liked the Lush Fiona Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly sour Green Apple scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Apple.

  1. I love bath bombs. Oh, how I wish our little apartment had one so I could take a long hot soak. We have a shower which will have to do.
