I always try and use some kind of a Toner in my Skincare Routine, but depending on how my Skin has been acting, I usually alternate between either a hydrating Milky Toner, a Blemish-fighting Salicylic Acid Toner, or some kind of smoothing Glycolic Acid Toner, as they’re usually what gives my Skin the best results. That’s why when I saw that Latest In Beauty had released a Blemish & Breakout Box that contained a Bottle of the Murad Clarifying Toner that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, refreshed and clearer-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A multi-tasking Toner that minimises the look of Pores
Pore size is genetic but keeping the Pore clear of Oil and debris helps minimise their appearance. This cooling formula removes Oil and impurities to instantly refresh Skin. Witch hazel tightens the appearance of Pores while Cucumber Extract helps soothe for a perfectly balanced complexion.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Witch Hazel Water, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Carrageenan Extract, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Lemon Fruit Extract, Calendula Flower Extract, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Allantoin, Palmitoyl Hydroxypropyltrimonium Amylopectin/Glycerin Crosspolymer, Grape Seed Extract, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Menthol, Menthoxypropanediol, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Citral, Camel Grass Oil, CI 42090, and CI 60730, I thought that it had a very strange deep and alcoholic yet ever so slightly floral Vodka scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Supermarket own Brand Vodka.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and balmy yet ever so slightly watery Toner.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured a little bit of it on to a Reusable Cotton Wool Round and had started to swipe it across my Face, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly runny Toner that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that once I had finished swiping a little bit of it across my Face, that it created a really nice cooling sensation that was perfect for whenever my Skin was feeling a little bit inflamed.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky smooth, soft, calm, refreshed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, it would have been nice if it had come in some kind of a Bottle with a Pump Lid as the screw top Lid was far too big to control exactly how much of it I was using.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Murad Clarifying Toner an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and alcoholic yet ever so slightly floral Vodka scent. I also wish that it was available in some kind of a Bottle with a Pump Lid so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using..
