With me randomly waking up on Christmas Day with some kind of Chemical Burn underneath my Right Eye, i’ve been throwing everything that I can at it to not only get rid of it, but to also return my Skin to it’s naturally hydrated, moisturised and glowing former self. That’s why when I saw that The Body Shop had released a Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask that claims to reveal moisturised and glowing Skin in just ten minutes whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Luffa Fruit, Kaolin, Cetyl Alcohol, Sesame Seed Oil, Argilla/Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Alcohol Denat, Decyl Glucoside, Perlite, Shea Butter, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Limonene, Sodium Benzoate, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Menthol, Ginseng Root Extract, Citral, Citronellol, Linalool, Menthoxypropanediol, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Eugenol, Dextrin, Asian Rice Extract, and CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide, I thought that it had a delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly spicy Orange and Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of a massive Mug of freshly brewed Orange and Ginger Tea.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Day Cream with little pieces of ground up Rice in it rather than a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty Clarifying Polishing Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Day Cream with little pieces of ground up Rice in it into a thin and gritty yet ever so slightly oily Face Mask that set within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, brighter and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly spicy Orange and Ginger scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained some kind of Exfoliating Acids like Glycolic, Lactic, or maybe even Tartaric to leabe my Skin looking and feeling even more clarified and polished.
