Beaming My Skin Up To Perfection | Primark LED Light Face Mask

I’ve been lusting after the Shark CryoGlow Face Mask for months now, especially because of it’s Under-Eye Revive Feature, but I just can’t justify it’s nearly £300 price tag as I don’t know if I would actually use it as much as I would need to. That’s why when I had heard that Primark had released a LED Light Face Mask that claims to have three different LED Light Modes to help with Anti-Ageing, Acne, and Stressed Skin, I obviously had to pop down to my local Primark and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A tall bearded man wearing a charcoal grey v-neck t-shirt, a bright gold Chain and a bright white plastic LED Face Mask that’s covered in some green light stood against a light grey wall.

Here’s what Primark say about their LED Light Face Mask.

Use the LED Light Face Mask to target different Skin concerns.
A Skincare Face Mask with LED Light Therapy features.
The LED Light Face Mask emits three different LED colours, Red, Green and Blue, all designed to target different skin issues.

Here’s what each LED colour can do for your Skin.

  • Red. Stimulates Collagen production, reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles, and improves Blood Circulation. It can also help with Anti-Ageing, Inflammation, Blemishes, Sun Damage and Scarring.
  • Blue. Reduces Acne-related redness and helps prevent Breakouts. It’s also effective for Acne-Prone Skin.
  • Green. Calms Skin and reduces Pigmentation, broken Capillaries and Sunspots. It’s also effective for Hyperpigmentation and brightening.

  • White.
  • One Size.
  • Made in China.

It’s material.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s material, as even though this was made out of an incredibly thick and hard Plastic that didn’t make me feel claustrophobic whilst I was wearing it, I noticed that there was a lot of extra bits of Plastic that had clearly been missed in Quality Control when it had been made, especially around the Eye Sockets and at the base of the Chin where the Charging Hole was.

It’s size.

I really liked it’s size, as this fitted my Face perfectly and just managed to fit my quite large Forehead whilst also not completely covering my Beard so that none of the LED Lights effected how it grows. I also really liked that it’s little Fabric Straps were really easy to adjust so that I could get it to be flush with my Skin whilst still feeling comfortable to wear.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had pressed and held it’s little Touch Sensitive Button and had waited for it to bleep twice it turned on and loaded the Red LED Light Setting. I then just had to lightly press it’s little Touch Sensitive Button to navigate between the rest of the other LED Light Settings before it eventually returned to the Red LED Light Setting, or press and hold it again to turn it off. I did find it a little difficult to find the Touch Sensitive Button the first few times that I used it though, as it’s not really clear where you’re supposed to press. So I think some kind of groove around the edge of the Button to identify it from the rest of the Forehead on the Face Mask would be a great addition.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, calm, plump, bouncy and hydrated, but it also left it looking clear when I had been using the Blue LED Light Setting, brighter when I had been using the Green LED Light Setting, and a little bit younger when I had been using the Red LED Light Setting.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came packaged in a very thick Cardboard Box that I thought looked really professional and would be perfect to give to someone as a Gift. I did find it a little bit strange that even though the Charging Plug was incased in a very thick Cardboard Sleeve, that the Charging Cord itself was just left loose in the bottom of the Box though.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Primark LED Light Face Mask a seven out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s size, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just thought that it’s material needed a little bit of extra care in the Factory, that it’s Touch Sensitive Button could have done with some kind of marking to identify where it was, and that it’s Charging Cord could have done with being in it’s own Cardboard Sleeve rather than just being loose in the bottom of it’s Box.
