I absolutely love using the Weleda Skin Food, as I really like how silky soft, soothed, hydrated and intensely moisturised it leaves my Skin feeling. But with me having Combination Skin, as soon as the Weather started too change I found that it was far too heavy and intensive for my Skin. That’s why when I saw that they had released a Skin Food Light that claims to have a much lighter consistency with all of the nourishing benefits of the original version whilst I was scrolling through Boots’ Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Smooth onto dry Skin Areas on the Body or Face and massage in gently. Allow to soak in.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sunflower Seed Oil, Glycerin, Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Beeswax, Cocoa Seed Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Shea Butter, Limonene, Wild Pansy Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Roman Chamomile Flower Extract, Calendula Flower Extract, , Lanolin, Carrageenan, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate, Fragrance, Linalool, Geraniol, and Citral, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly zesty Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pick a perfectly ripened Lemon off of it’s Tree.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Moisturiser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Body Lotion that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, refreshed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall conical Metallic Tube with a Plastic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, because of it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, I found it really tricky to squeeze out exactly how much of it I wanted to use and would have preferred it if it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Jar.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Weleda Skin Food Light a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly zesty Lemon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Jar so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
