One of my favourite ever Lush Face Masks that they sadly no longer sell, definitely has to be their Oatifix Fresh Face Mask, as I absolutely loved how soft, soothed and hydrated it left my Skin feeling. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a range of new and returning Face Masks, including Ayesha, Cosmetic Warrior, Matcha, Skin Soothing Porridge, and Turmeric, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Skin Soothing Porridge Face Mask, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their Skin Soothing Porridge Face Mask.
Soothes sore Skin.
A Poultice of Porridge and Hedgerow Herbs to gently soothe Skin prone to soreness. Made with Oats, Honeysuckle and Honey to ease discomfort, we add a comforting blend of Lavender, Rose and Chamomile Blue for their sympathetic properties on the Skin and the Mind. Rich in texture but easy to apply, this gentle, simple blend is based on Hedgelore Home Remedies and will leave your complexion soft, comfortable and hydrated.
Good for you and the Planet.
Self-Preserving: formulated to stay fresh, effective and safe to use without Synthetic Preservatives.
Made with soothing Porridge Oats from the Fields of Cheshire, UK.
How to use.
Apply generously to clean Skin, relax for ten lovely minutes, and rinse away.
How to store.
This Mask is made fresh and reaches you fresh so you can get the most benefit from the beautiful ingredients inside. It needs to be stored in the Fridge and used within 28 days.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Porridge Infused With Lavender Honeysuckle and Elderflower, Calamine Powder, Honey, Chamomile Blue Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Rose Oil, Lavender Oil, Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly oceanic Lavender scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Cup of Seawater over a massive Pile of some freshly picked Lavender Flowers.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly creamy Pot of Overnight Oats rather than a thin and creamy Face Mask with little pieces of Porridge Oats running through it.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly creamy Pot of Overnight Oats into a thick and creamy Face Mask with little pieces of Porridge Oats running through it that set within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that even though it didn’t contain any kind of Clay, that it still managed to set like a traditional Clay Face Mask, and that when I started to remove it from my Skin, that the little pieces of Porridge Oats running through it managed to give my Skin a very light amount of exfoliation.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, moisturised, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, calm and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Skin Soothing Porridge Face Mask a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly oceanic Lavender scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained so much Lavender, as even though Lavender can be very soothing and relaxing, it can get a bit nauseating in large quantities.
