With me using Retinol in my Evening Skincare Routine, my Skin can sometimes become incredibly dry, red and angry, especially if i’ve used it for too many nights in a row. That’s why when I saw that Superdrug had released a Deep Action Soothing Overnight Jelly Mask that claims to leave your Skin feeling soft, soothed and hydrated whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Dimethicone, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Propamediol, Panthenol, Witch Hazel Water, Capryl Glycol, Triethyl Citrate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Allantoin, Fragrance, Seaweed Extract, Tulsi Leaf Extract, Milk Thistle Fruit Extract, Citric Acid, Linalool, Limonene, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, and Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly oceanic Apple scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Apple Juice at the Beach on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Jelly Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Mask rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Jelly Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Mask into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Face Mask that set within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, purified and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clearer, less red and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Superdrug Deep Action Soothing Overnight Jelly Mask a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly oceanic Apple scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but given that it was called a Jelly Mask it would have been nice if it had actually been a block of Jelly rather than just being a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Mask.
