Tea Tastes Terrific | Bird & Blend Tea Company Autumn 2026 Collection

One of my favourite things to do during Autumn definitely has to be to curl up underneath a Blanket with one of the Dogs and listen to my Book with a nice Mug of piping hot Tea. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released an Autumn 2026 collection ,which includes Baby Spice, Maple Apple Chai, Spiced Pumpkin Chai, and Spiced Pumpkin Sticky Chai, I obviously had to pop down to my local Bird & Blend Tea Company store and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Pouch of Maple Apple Chai Loose Leaf Tea, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A tall cylindrical bright silver metal tin with a bright silver metal lid and a black label that has Maple Apple Chai loose Leaf Tea, Black Tea, Chai meets sweet Maple and crunchy Apple written in bright white writing and some pictures of some bright orange apples, some flowers, some paisley shapes and some small bright orange leaves on it, on a white background.

Here’s what Bird & Blend Tea Company say about their Maple Apple Chai Loose Leaf Tea.

Celebrate our festival of Chai with a brand new Blend!
Rich chai spices & black tea meet the sweetness of maple & crunchy apple for a tea that’s simply bursting with that autumn feeling.
We’ve sourced the brightest, most flavourful of Teas directly from Rwanda for this very special Blend – so it tastes good, looks good & does good too. The Tea is carefully sourced from Rutsiro, a Garden we are proudly working with to support Impact Projects that transform lives in the Local Community.
By choosing Maple Apple Chai, you are helping to fund Vital Projects for Rwandan Tea Pluckers, their families & young children.

  • Tastes like, Maple, Fruity, spiced.
  • Black Tea, contains Caffeine.

It’s brewing tine.

It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely sour and just tasted of Cardamom. It also said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC and then pour over Ice if you wanted to drink it as an Iced Chai, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted really sour and just tasted of Rwandan Black Tea. It also recommended to serve it with a splash of Milk no matter if you were brewing it hot or iced, which I thought was a brilliant idea, as it tended to enhance all of the nutty and smokey notes of the Cinnamon, Ginger, Clove and Cardamom.

It’s taste.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Rwandan Black Tea, Assam Black Tea, Freeze-Dried Apple Pieces, Cinnamon, Ginger, Clove, Cardamom, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly nutty and smokey Apple taste to it that kind of reminded me of being sat by a Bonfire eating an Apple that’s been slathered in some Spiced Maple Syrup on a chilly Autumn Evening.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive rectangular resealable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Maple Apple Chai Loose Leaf Tea a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly nutty and smokey Apple taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had tasted a little bit more of Cinnamon, Clove and Cardamom.
