I’ve been absolutely loving that everywhere seems to be doing some kind of Moomin collab lately, as I think that it’s about time that more people discover the magical and wonderfulness of The Moomins, especially how LGBTQ+ friendly they are. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released an x Moomin collection, which includes Moominhouse Cosy Comforts, and Moomins Berry Basket, I obviously had to pop down to my local Bird & Blend Tea Company store and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Tin of Moominhouse Cosy Comforts Loose Leaf Tea, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Bird & Blend Tea Company say about their Moominhouse Cosy Comforts Loose Leaf Tea.
Come in to Moominhouse, where the sweet scent of freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls surrounds you and everyone is welcome around the Table! This 150g Tea Tin of limited edition Black Loose Leaf Tea blend of Cinnamon, Apple and Blackberry Leaf will transport you to the magical world of Moominvalley. Enjoy as a traditional Cuppa or with frothy Milk as a Latte, great hot or iced!
Bird & Blend Tea Company x Moomin is a fantastical Tea and Matcha collection celebrating the joy of individuality, time in Nature and togetherness.
A 150g Tin contains approximately 75 Cups of Tea.
- Tastes like, Cinnamon, Fruity, Clove.
- Black Tea, contains Caffeine.
It’s brewing time.
It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely sour and just tasted of Cassia Bark. It also said that you were supposed to brew this for six hours in Cold Water if you wanted to Cold Brew it, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I couldn’t really taste any of the Sweet Blackberry Leaves, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer all i could really taste was the Cloves. I did however find that it was best to add a splash of Milk whenever I brewed it though, as it tended to help enhance the creaminess of it’s Cream Cheese Frosting taste.
It’s taste.
I really liked it’s taste, as even though it contained Black Tea, Sweet Blackberry Leaves, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cassia Bark, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly fruity Cinnamon and Apple scent to it that kind of reminded me of eating a Cinnamon Bun that’s been smothered in a layer of Apple-infused Cream Cheese Frosting on a balmy Autumn Afternoon.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in an adorable Moominhouse shaped Metal Tin with a clickable Lid that meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Moominhouse Cosy Comforts Loose Leaf Tea an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly fruity Cinnamon and Apple taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had tasted a little bit more of Cinnamon. I also wish that it was available in some other sizes and not just in a 150g Tin like most of their other Loose Leaf Teas, so that everyone could get to experience it.
