In my opinion, there’s nothing better than sitting down to watch a Film with a nice, hot Mug of Tea and a Packet of Biscuits and working your way through them. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released a Tea & Biscuits collection that claims to be inspired by some of the UK’s favourite Biscuits, which includes, Chocolate Digestives, Coconut Macaroon, Gingernut Biscuit, Jammie Dodger, Malted Milk, and Strawberry Shortcake, I obviously had to pop down to my local Bird & Blend Tea Company store and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Pouch of Coconut Macaroon Loose Leaf Tea, a Pouch of Gingernut Biscuit Loose Leaf Tea, a Pouch of Malted Milk Loose Leaf Tea, and a Pouch of Strawberry Shortcake Loose Leaf Tea, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Bird & Blend Tea Company say about all four delicious tasting Teas.

It’s brewing time.
It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely sour and just tasted of Cassia Bark. It also said that you were supposed to brew this for six hours in Coconut Milk if you wanted to Cold Brew it, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I couldn’t really taste any of the Popcorn, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer all i could really taste was the Cassia Bark and Currants.
It’s taste.
I really liked it’s taste, as even though it contained Apple Pieces, Tartaric Acid, water, Cassia Bark, Candied Pineapple Pieces, Sugar, Citric Acid, Candied Papaya Pieces, Currants, Sunflower Oil, Red Beet, Sugared and Roasted Coconut Chips, Popcorn, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly malty Coconut taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Mug of Builder’s Brew Tea over a massive Pile of Coconut Ring Biscuits.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive rectangular resealable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.

It’s taste.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s taste, as even though it contained Sri Lankan Black Tea, Ginger, Cinnamon, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a very overwhelming deep and spicy yet ever so slightly bitter Ginger taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured several Tablespoons of Ground Ginger into a Mug of Hot Water.

It also said that you were supposed to brew this for six hours in Oat Milk if you wanted to Cold Brew it, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I couldn’t really taste any of the Oat Flowering Tops, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer all i could really taste was the Sri Lankan Black Tea and Fenugreek.
It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Sri Lankan Black Tea, Roasted Dandelion Root, Fenugreek, Liquorice, Oat Flowering Tops, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious deep and oaty yet ever so slightly malty Hobnob taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had dunked an entire Packet of Hobnobs into a massive Mug of very strong Black Tea.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive rectangular resealable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Rooibos, Hibiscus, Apple Pieces, Rosehip, Freeze-Dried Strawberry, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy and nutty Strawberry, Double Cream and Almond taste to it that kind of reminded me of eating a Strawberry Bakewell Tart drizzled in Double Cream on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Coconut Macaroon Loose Leaf Tea an eight point five out of ten, the Bird & Blend Tea Company Gingernut Biscuit Loose Leaf Tea a five out of ten, the Bird & Blend Tea Company Malted Milk Loose Leaf Tea a nine out of ten, and the Bird & Blend Tea Company Strawberry Shortcake Loose Leaf Tea a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Coconut Macaroon Loose Leaf Tea, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly malty Coconut taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained such big pieces of Roasted Coconut. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Gingernut Biscuit Loose Leaf Tea, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very overwhelming deep and spicy yet ever so slightly bitter Ginger taste. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Malted Milk Loose Leaf Tea, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and oaty yet ever so slightly malty Hobnob taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was also available as a Teabag. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Strawberry Shortcake Loose Leaf Tea, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy and nutty Strawberry, Double Cream and Almond taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had tasted a little bit more of Strawberry.
