Even though I absolutely loved using The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask as I really liked how clear, silky soft and hydrated it left my Skin feeling, one of my main criticisms was that I wished that it had contained some other kinds of Exfoliating Acids to give my Skin an even deeper amount of exfoliation. That’s why when I saw that they had also released a Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel that claims to leave you with smoother, clarified and brighter looking Skin whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about their Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel.
Smooth and clarify Combination and Oily Skin overnight with our Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel.
It only takes a couple of drops of our super light Night Peel to help refine the appearance of uneven Skin Texture so it feels smoother and looks more clarified and luminous.
It’s Vegan and made with 98% ingredients of natural origin, including Bamboo Charcoal from the Himalayan Foothills and Hibiscus Flower Extract, which is known to contain organic acids famous for their Skin-exfoliating powers.
Simply smooth onto Skin in the evening. Watch our Charcoal, non-staining formula transform to a clear liquid on your Skin. Let it get to work while you get your Beauty Sleep. Rinse off in the morning. Wake up with softer and smoother-feeling Skin. Use regularly for Sebum levels that feel more balanced and Skin Texture that looks more even and clearer.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Propanediol, Alcohol Denat, Glycerin, Hibiscus Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpine Willowherb Extract, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Charcoal Powder, Limonene, Linalool, Citric Acid, and Potassium Sorbate, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Green Tea scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you make a massive Jug of Iced Green Tea.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Peel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Peel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Peel that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte, purified, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Green Tea scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained some other Exfoliating Acids like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, or maybe even Tartaric Acid to give my Skin an even deeper amount of exfoliation. I also just can’t justify spending £22 on an Overnight Peel, as I think that there are a lot of other Overnight Peels currently on the market that do a similar job for a lot less money., ,
