Every year, I always look forward to checking out The Body Shop’s Christmas range, as I think that they manage to come up with some truly delicious and festive-smelling products. Unfortunately though, with them announcing that they had gone into administration at the beginning of 2024, they said that they weren’t planning on releasing anything for Christmas this year. That’s why when I saw that they had released a Christmas 2024 range whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pop in and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Shea & Goldenberry Body Butter, a Tube of Shea & Plum Hand Balm, and a Tub of Shea & Saffron Body Butter, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what The Body Shop say about all three delicious smelling products.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Shea Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocoa Seed Butter, Glycerin, Cetearyl Glucoside, Triethyl Citrate, Babassu Seed Oil, Fragrance, Dimethicone, Rice Bran Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Limonene, Tocopherol, Linalool, Citric Acid, Coumarin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Eugenol, Cinnamal, Geraniol, Citral, CI 19140/Yellow 5, and CI 15985/Yellow 6, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackberry and Apple scent to it that kind of reminded me of eating a freshly made Blackberry and Apple Pie outside on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Butter rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Butter.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Butter into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Butter that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackberry and Apple for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with an Aluminium screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Shea Butter, Triethyl Citrate, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocoa Seed Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Fragrance, Sweet Almond Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Sesame Seed Oil, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Linalool, Coumarin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Limonene, Geraniol, Eugenol, CI 15985/Yellow 6, and CI 19140/Yellow 5, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past a Plum Tree on a balmy Spring Afternoon

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hand Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Balm rather than a thick and greasy yet ever so slightly waxy Hand Balm.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hands, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Balm into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Hand Balm that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds..
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hands feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left them smelling of delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum for at least twenty minutes after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short and thin conical Aluminium Tube with a screw top Lid that fitted really easily into my Pocket.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Shea Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocoa Seed Butter, Glycerin, Cetearyl Glucoside, Triethyl Citrate, Babassu Seed Oil, Fragrance, Dimethicone, Rice Bran Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Linalool, Coumarin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Limonene, Geraniol, Eugenol, Benzyl Alcohol, CI 15985/Yellow 6, and CI 19140/Yellow 5, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly musky Vanilla scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally burnt a massive Pan of Vanilla Custard.
It’s consistency.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly oily Body Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Butter.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly oily Body Cream into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Butter that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly musky Vanilla for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Shea & Goldenberry Body Butter an eight point five out of ten, The Body Shop Shea & Plum Hand Balm an eight out of ten, and The Body Shop Shea & Saffron Body Butter a seven out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Shea & Goldenberry Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackberry and Apple scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Goldenberry. I really liked The Body Shop Shea & Plum Hand Balm, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Plum. I really liked The Body Shop Shea & Saffron Body Butter, as I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly musky Vanilla scent, or it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistency.
