Even though I don’t celebrate it myself, I really like Lunar New Year, as I absolutely love learning all about the different superstitions and traditions of how people in different parts of the world celebrate the beginning of the year. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Lunar New Year 2025 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Rebirth Bath Bomb, a Bottle of Sunrise Shower Gel, and a Tub of Swirl of Happiness Sugar Scrub, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

It’s time to shed old Skin and enter the New Year feeling fresh, fabulous and ready to hit the ground running. It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Alcohol Denat, Popping Candy, Limonene, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Lime Oil, Cream Of Tartar, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 47005, Colour 15510, and Colour 77491, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Bucks Fizz on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Yellow and Gold Lustre all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Orange all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Yellow and Gold Lustre to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering Amber colour. Then after it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, it released little pieces of Popping Candy all over the surface of the Water that made it sound like a Snake was actually hissing in my Bath.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Blood Orange Juice, Calcium Lactate, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Limonene, Lauryl Betaine, Almond Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Fragrance, and Colour 15510, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a perfectly ripened Yuzu.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu for hours after I had used it.,
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Sugar Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub rather than a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Sugar Scrub.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub into a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Sugar Scrub that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, squeaky clean, soft, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Grapefruit for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Rebirth Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Lush Sunrise Shower Gel a nine point five out of ten, and the Lush Swirl of Happiness Sugar Scrub a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Rebirth Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had contained even more Popping Candy. I really liked the Lush Sunrise Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Scrub of Happiness Sugar Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Grapefruit scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, an it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tub.
