Two of my biggest vices in life definitely have to be Chocolate and anything that tastes of Cherry, including Cherry Bakewell, Cherry Coke, and Cherry Ice Cream. That’s why when I saw that The Chocolate Smiths had released a Cakes Contour Cherry Bakewell Collaboration Bar that claims to contain a blend of White Chocolate, Cherry Bakewell Blondie pieces, and Raspberry Jam whilst I was scrolling through Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been munching my way through it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s back, this Bar has been hugely requested for a comeback so we thought it was about time! A White Chocolate Bar full of Cakes Contour’s Cherry Bakewell Blondie and Raspberry Jam. They’re gooey and so delicious!! Topped with Sprinkles too and hand decorated with White Chocolate Piping to pay homage to Cakes Contours well known Layer Cakes!
This Bar has a Shelf Life of three weeks from the date made.
Contains Dairy, Gluten, Soya and Eggs.
Made in an environment where Nuts are used.
It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Milk Powder, Soya Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Extract, Butter, Dried Whole Milk, Dried Cream, Flavouring, Vegetable Oil, Almond Extract, Raspberry Jam, Raspberries, Concentrated Lemon Juice, Eggs, Wheat Flour, Colouring, and Pink Lustre, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly fruity Bakewell Slice taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had smothered a Bakewell Slice in some Raspberry Jam and had then rolled it in some White Chocolate.,
It’s texture.
I really liked it’s texture, as I thought that the White Chocolate felt very buttery whilst also still being incredibly crunchy, that the Cherry Bakewell Blondie felt very light and fluffy whilst still also having a tiny amount of bite to it, that the Raspberry Jam felt very thick and smooth, and that the added Sprinkles gave a very nice crunchy finishing touch to everything.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came wrapped in a massive piece of Tin Foil inside a really thick Paper Wrapper that kept the Bar really fresh until I was ready to eat it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Chocolate Smiths Cakes Contour Cherry Bakewell Collaboration Bar an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly fruity Bakewell Slice taste, it’s texture, and it’s packaging, but given that it was called a Cherry Bakewell Collaboration Bar, it would have been nice if it had actually contained something that tasted of Cherry, like some Glacé Cherries, Cherry Jam, or maybe even some kind of Cherry Syrup.
