Even though i’m absolutely addicted to anything that tastes of Cherry, I also adore anything that tastes of Lime. The problem however is that I really struggle to find things like Chocolate, Drinks or Sweets that actually taste strongly enough of Lime for me to totally love them. That’s why when I saw that The Chocolate Smiths had released an Ice Cream Twist Summer Limited Edition Bizarre Bar that claims to taste just like a Twister Ice Lolly whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been munching my way through it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

We may have been a little bitter that this Bar didn’t win the What D’ Yee Want Wednesday vote last year… and is it really Summer without a fruity Ice Cream? So we present to you, the Ice Cream Twist Bar! Filled with a Pineapple Caramel and a tangy, Strawberry and Lime Gel, all inside White Chocolate. Just like the real thing!
Made in an environment which handles Dairy, Soya, Wheat, Egg, Peanuts and Tree Nuts daily.

It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Soya Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavouring, Castor Sugar, Pineapple Joyfruit, Pineapple, Glucose,-Fructose Syrup, Citric Acid, Water, Pectin, Pasteurised Double Cream, Milk, Unsalted Butter, Soy Lecithin, Salt, Strawberry Puree, Strawberry Concentrated Carrot Juice, Lime Puree, Lime Juice & Flesh, Pectins, Pink Cocoa Butter, Green Cocoa Butter, Yellow Cocoa Butter, E440, E330, E322, E102, E132, E133, and E110, I thought that it had a delicious zesty and sour yet ever so slightly creamy Key Lime Pie taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had drizzled some Strawberry Sauce over a massive Bowl of Key Lime Pie Filling.
It’s texture.
I really liked it’s texture, as I thought that the Strawberry and Lime Gel felt really silky smooth whilst still being ever so slightly gelatinous, that the Pineapple Caramel felt really thick and sticky yet ever so slightly runny, and that the White Chocolate felt really buttery and creamy whilst still also being incredibly crunchy.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came wrapped in a massive piece of Tin Foil inside a really thick Paper Wrapper that kept the Bar really fresh until I was ready to eat it.
