One of the more recent additions to my Morning and Evening Skincare Routine is some kind of Facial Essence, as not only does it leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, calm and hydrated, but it also helps whatever I apply afterwards to work more effectively. That’s why when I saw that The Ordinary had released a Multi-Active Delivery Essence that claims to leave you with silky soft, calm and hydrated Skin as well as helping any other products that you apply afterwards work more effectively whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what The Ordinary say about their Multi-Active Delivery Essence.
Our Multi-Active Delivery Essence is a hydrating Essence that instantly nourishes and restores Skin Conditions, giving softer-feeling Skin. The lightweight Skincare Essence strengthens the Skin Barrier after one application and keeps Skin hydrated and luminous all day.
Our Multi-Active Delivery Essence contains a specific combination of four Active Technologies, which effectively boost Skin hydration to increase penetration of Skincare Ingredients.
When tested with our Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, it was able to increase the penetration of Niacinamide by 2 times after 1 hour vs when Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is applied alone.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Sodium Caproyl Prolinate, Glycogen, Gellan Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, and Chlorphenesin, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Semi-Skimmed Milk scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally poured a Glass of Filtered Water into a massive Jug of Semi-Skimmed Milk.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Essence, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly gelatinous MilkyCleansing Milk rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Facial Essence.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly gelatinous Cleansing Milk into a thin and milky yet ever so slightly watery Facial Essence that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, less red and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall cylindrical Glass Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, , because of it’s incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly gelatinous consistency, I would have preferred it if it had come in a Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid or in a Plastic Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Ordinary Multi-Active Delivery Essence a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Semi-Skimmed Milk scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in a Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid or in a Plastic Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid so that it was a little bit easier to use.
