Whenever anyone asks me what Facial SPF I recommend, I always say any of the Garnier Ambre Solaire Facial SPF range, as I think that they leave your Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated and protected, are really affordable, and come in a range of different versions to suit whatever Skin Type you have. That’s why when I saw that they had released an Ambre Solaire Super UV Face Refreshing Invisible Water Fluid SPF50 that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and protected Skin whilst I was scrolling through Boots’ Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, , Alcohol Denat, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Isopropyl Myristate, Glycerin, Silica, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Carnauba Wax, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Tocopherol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Stearic Acid, Peg-100 Stearate, Triethanolamine, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Palmitic Acid, Silica Silylate, Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Perlite, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Myristic Acid, Shea Butter, Citric Acid, and Glyceryl Stearate, I thought that it had a very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Filtered Water scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pour yourself a massive Glass of Filtered Water on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
It’s consistency.
I absolutely loved it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial SPF, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Body Lotion rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Facial SPF.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Body Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel-Cream Moisturiser that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, calm, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it felt so light-weight that I couldn’t tell that I was wearing a Facial SPF, and that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short rounded square Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid and a Nozzle Applicator that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, and also fitted really easily into my Pocket so that I could carry it around with me and reapply it throughout the day.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Face Refreshing Invisible Water Fluid SPF50 an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Filtered Water scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Bottle, as 40ml of a Facial SPF doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re reapplying it multiple times a day like you’re supposed to do.
