Even though I use some kind of Physical Exfoliant at least twice a week, I also like to use some kind of Chemical Exfoliant every day to leave my Skin feeling as silky soft, smooth and hydrated as it possibly can. That’s why when I saw that Aldi had released a Lacura 2% BHA Toner that claims to contain a blend of 2% Salicylic Acid, Glycerin and Green Tea Extract to leave you with silky soft, smooth and hydrated Skin whilst I was doing my Weekly Food Shop a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Aldi say about their Lacura 2% BHA Toner.
Contains Salicylic Acid.
Exfoliates and refines.
Effectively unclogs Pores and fights Breakouts.
Improves Skin Tone.
Lightweight and fast absorbing.
Dermatologically tested.
Fragrance Free and Vegan friendly.
Its scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Propylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Alcohol Denat, Salicylic Acid, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Glycerin, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Potassium Sorbate, and Sodium Benzoate, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly synthetic Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent of some very cheap Supermarket own brand Kitchen Cleaner.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Toner.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured a little bit of it on to a Reusable Cotton Round and had started to swipe it across my Face, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Toner that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, refreshed, matte, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura 2% BHA Toner a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly synthetic Lemon scent. I also wish that it was available in a much bigger Bottle, as 100ml of a Toner doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re using it every day like you’re supposed to do.
