In an effort to hopefully try and get rid of all the rough, dry and scaly Skin that’s on my Arms, Elbows, Feet and Legs, i’ve been using any kind of Smoothing Cream, Lotion or Toner that I can get my Hands on that claims to leave you with silky smooth, soft, hydrated and moisturised Skin. That’s why when I saw that the Boots 24 Days Of Skincare 2025 Advent Calendar contained a Tube of the Aveeno Skin Renewal Smoothing Cream that claims to leave you with silky smooth, soft, soothed, hydrated and moisturised Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website last year, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.

Apply liberally all over your Body to leave your Skin feeling smooth & moisturised.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Gluconolactone, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Shea Butter, Isopropyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Coconut Oil, Cornstarch, Oat Flour, Sodium Hydroxide, Cocoa Seed Butter, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Chlorphenesin, Niacinamide, Disodium EDTA, Titanium Dioxide, and Potassium Bitartrate, I thought that it had a very strange deep and malty yet ever so slightly creamy Oat scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Carton of Oat Milk.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Hand Balm rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Hand Balm into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Cream that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, soft, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised ,but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall and wide conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Aveeno Skin Renewal Smoothing Cream a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and malty yet ever so slightly creamy Oat scent.
