Renewing My Red & Inflamed Skin With Azelaic Acid | Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum

With me constantly trying new and interesting Skincare as well as suffering from Eczema, i’m always fearful that i’m going to have an Eczema Flare-Up, which means that i’m continuously on the lookout for anything that will help to calm, soothe and hydrate it when I do. That’s why when I saw that LookFantastic had released a K-Beauty Edit that contained a Bottle of the Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum that claims to help soothe red and inflamed Skin as well as repair problem areas whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A short cylindrical green glass bottle full of some translucent green liquid with a white rubber pipette lid and a pale green label that has Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum written in bright white writing and a picture of a light green stripe on it, on a white background..

Here’s what Anua say about their Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum.

A lightweight Serum formulated with soothing & hydrating ingredients, suitable for Sensitive Skin, helps improve redness and troubled areas.

Benefits.

  • Calming.
  • Soothing.
  • Fragrance-free.

How to use.

Apply one to two times a week and gradually increase the frequency to up to twice a day. Use one to two drops per use to begin with, up to five drops can be used. Apply an adequate amount in between a Toner and Moisturiser. If used during the day, be sure to pair it with an SPF.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Azelaic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Betaine Salicylate, Glycerin, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Ethylhexylglycerin, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Chinaberry Leaf Extract, Green Tea Leaf Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Chinaberry Flower Extract, Niacinamide, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Beta-Glucan, Cica Extract, Cica Leaf Extract, Cica Root Extract, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Squalane, Zinc PCA, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Lecithin, and Ceramide NP, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and milky yet ever so slightly grassy Cica scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Glass of Semi-Skimmed Milk over a Pile of Cica Leaves.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly watery Ampoule rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and milky yet ever so slightly watery Ampoule into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Milky Toner that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, more even and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, and in some cases actually managed to calm, soothe and hydrate them whenever I was in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and milky yet ever so slightly grassy Cica scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit more Azelaic Acid to leave my Skin feeling even calmer and looking even clearer.
