It’s Day One Of Balanced & Moisturised Skin | By Beauty Bay Day One Moisturiser With Ginseng And Squalane

With my Skin going completely haywire lately i’m having to use two totally different Skincare Routines, one for whenever my Skin is feeling incredibly dry and irritated, and one for whenever my Skin is full of Blemishes. This means that i’ve been on  the lookout for anything that I can use no matter what my Skin is feeling like that day, as well as something that I can customise with things like Serums, Oils, or Blemish Treatments. That’s why when I saw that Beauty Bay had released a The Breakout Box that contained a Bottle of their By Beauty Bay Day One Moisturiser with Ginseng and Squalane that claims to leave you with protected and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what By Beauty Bay say about their Day One Moisturiser with Ginseng and Squalane.

A lightweight Moisturiser.
This is your new Skincare go-to. The Day One Moisturiser with Ginseng and Squalane from the Skincare By Beauty Bay range is a lightweight Gel-Cream Moisturiser that helps to protect and hydrate the Skin. Enriched with Indian Ginseng to shield against screen-emited light and Olive Squalane which helps to hydrate the Skin. The moisturising and Skin conditioning actives make this Moisturiser a great Makeup Primer to lock your look in place all day long. Use alone or mix with any of our SkinHit Serums to customise your routine to suit your Skin’s needs.

  • Indian Ginseng helps to protect and shield the Skin from the damaging effects of screen-emitted light.
  • Squalane not only hydrates your complexion, but it also strengthens the all-important Skin Barrier to stop the hydration from escaping.
  • Suitable for Normal, Oily and Combination Skin.
  • Vegan and cruelty free.

How to use.

Use alone.

  • Smooth over the Face and Under Eye Area after cleansing and applying any of our SkinHit Serums.
  • Can be used AM and PM. Suitable for daily use.

Mix with our SkinHit Serums.

  • Mix the Moisturiser in your Hand with a few drops of your chosen SkinHit Serum then smooth over the Face.
  • Use a maximum of two SkinHit Serums at one time.
  • The Moisturiser becomes thin when mixed with our SkinHit Serums.
  • Follow with an SPF during the day.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Propanediol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Gructose, Glycerin, Sorbiton Isostearate, Polysorbate 60, Winter Cherry Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Biosaccharide Gum-4, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Eucalyptus scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Eucalyptus Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Body Lotion rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Moisturiser.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Body Lotion into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Face Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that whenever I had mixed it with one of their SkinHit Serums, that it blended together really easily and didn’t separate or effect how the Moisturiser sank into my Skin.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, matte, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the By Beauty Bay Day One Moisturiser with Ginseng and Squalane a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Eucalyptus scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had also contained some other Active Ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin c, or maybe some kind of Peptide blend.
