During Winter when my Skin is at it’s most driest, I always try to switch up my Skincare Routine to include more thicker and hydrating formulas, like a Cleansing Cream, a Facial Oil or some kind of heavier Night Cream to hopefully try and return it to it’s silky soft, bouncy and hydrated former-feeling self. That’s why when I saw that Latest In Beauty had released a The Glow Plan Beauty Edit with Abigail James that contained a Tube of the Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream that claims to gently cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate Dry and Sensitive Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of months ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Dr. Hauschka say about their Cleansing Cream.
Our Cleansing Cream gently cleanses, exfoliates, fortifies and refreshes, protecting the Skin’s natural protective function for healthy, radiant Skin. Our Cleansing Cream retains the Skin’s natural Hydro-Lipid Barrier while also preparing it for the next stages in your Skincare Routine.
Formulation.
The highest quality medicinal Plant Extracts of Calendula, Chamomile and Anthyllis, with creamy Sweet Almond Meal, cleanse, balance and revitalise Skin to minimise the appearance of Pores.
How to use.
Cleanse in the Morning and Evening. Moisten Face, Neck and Décolleté with a Warm Face Cloth. Mix ½ to 1 inch or 1 to 2 cm of Cleansing Cream with Warm Water in the Palms of your Hands to form a smooth, creamy Paste. Press the mixture gently onto Skin then roll your Hands up and away in a wave-like motion. Start in the centre of the Forehead then slowly work outward and down. Avoiding the Eye Area. Repeat the press and roll action two to three times. Do not rub or scrub. Rinse with Warm Water then finish with a splash of cool, fresh Water to close the Pores. For Sensitive Skin use Warm Water only.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sweet Almond Seed Meal, Calendula Flower Extract, Kidney Veg Extract, Alcohol, Peanut Oil, Chamomile Flower Extract, St John’s Wort Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Witch Hazel Bark/Leaf Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Fragrance, Citronellol, Geraniol, Barbados Cherry Fruit Extract, Xanthan Gum, Lecithin, and Algim, I thought that it had a very strange deep and floral yet ever so slightly musky Calendula scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a massive Jug of Rainwater over a pile of some crushed up dead Calendula Petals.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Cream.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had mixed a little bit of it with some Warm Water and had started to massage it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream into a thin and creamy Cleansing Milk with little pieces of Almond Seed Meal in it that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short conical Aluminium Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I would have preferred it if it had come in some kind of a Tub or Bottle.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and floral yet ever so slightly musky Calendula scent or it’s packaging. I also wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube, as 50ml of a Cleansing Cream doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re using it every Morning like you’re supposed to do.
