Well, Well, Well. Look Who Has Cleansed And Nourished Skin | Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm

I’ve been meaning to check out Weleda for quite a while now, but for some strange reason I just haven’t gotten around to it. That’s why when I saw that the Holland and Barrett 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar, included a Tube of the Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, silky soft and nourished Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A tall conical metallic green tube with a bright white plastic lid that has Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm written in bright white writing on it, on a white background.

Here’s what Weleda say about their Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm.

Our Oil-based formula with nutrient-rich Organic Sunflower Oil and Botanical Extracts of Wild Pansy, Organic Calendula and Chamomile gently cleanses while maintaining Skin’s Moisture Levels. When the smallest amount of this refreshing Oil-to-Milk Cleansing Balm is applied to the Skin. Followed with a splash of Warm Water and circular movements, it instantly emulsifies into an effective Cleansing Milk that can be rinsed off easily. Unlike Cleansers which strip the Skin of Oil and disrupt the Skin Barrier, Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm is proven Microbiome-friendly and conditions while it cleanses, leaving Skin feeling soft and replenished. It effectively removes Dirt, Impurities and Water-Soluble Make-Up, revealing clean, soft, glowing Skin. It can also be used as a nourishing Face Mask.

100% agree it removes Dirt and Grime effectively. In-use study with 29 subjects, after one week of twice-daily usage.

Warm a small amount of Balm between clean, dry Palms and apply to your Face, Neck and Décolleté. Add Water and cleanse using circular massaging movements. Rinse thoroughly.
For a nourishing Face Mask: apply a thin layer, leave on for ten minutes, then add Water and rinse off. Avoid the Eye Area.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sunflower Seed Oil, Glycerin, Isoamyl Laurate, Betaine, Water, Sucrose Stearate, Fragrance, Wild Pansy Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Chamomile Flower Extract, Calendula Flower Extract, Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, and Citral, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Tangerine scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you peel a Tangerine.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Styling Paste rather than a thick and buttery yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Styling Paste into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm that spread really easily across my Face. I also really liked that once I had started to add a little bit of Water to it, that it turned from an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm into a thin and milky yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Milk that was really easy to remove.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall conical Metallic Tube with a Plastic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I found it really tricky to squeeze out exactly how much of it I wanted to use and would have preferred it if it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Jar.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Tangerine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Jar so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.

  1. I love it when people find a new product they like. I got a trial package of skin care from ELF for Christmas. I can’t wait to use it.
