With me never knowing when my Skin will decide to have an Eczema Flare-Up, I always have several different Dry Skin Balms, hydrating Facial Sprays, and soothing Facial Serums dotted around the House so that I can quickly reach for one whenever my Skin starts to itch or burn. That’s why when I saw that Latest In Beauty had released a CEW Beauty Awards 2024 Box that contained a Tube of the E45 Lips & Dry Skin Balm that claims to leave you with silky soft, supple and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Apply a small amount directly to Chapped Lips, or other small Dry Skin Areas as needed.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Petrolatum, Lanolin, Liquid Paraffin, Beeswax, Castor Seed Oil, and Tocopherol, I thought that it had a very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly metallic Castor Seed Oil scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally burnt an entire Pan full of Castor Seed Oil.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Dry Skin Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy Styling Paste rather than a thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Dry Skin Balm.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy Styling Paste into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly waxy Dry Skin Balm that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short and flat conical Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that fitted really easily into my Pocket, because of it’s incredibly thick and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, I found it extremely hard to get any of it out of it’s Tube.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the E45 Lips & Dry Skin Balm an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly metallic Castor Seed Oil scent, or it’s very hard to use packaging. I also think that it would have been better if it had come in some kind of a Tub or a Metal Tin like most of the other Dry Skin Balms that i’ve tried in the past have done.
