I’ve recently ran out of one of my favourite Cleansers, the GlamGlow SuperCleanse™ Cream To Foam Cleanser , but at £25 a Tube I just can’t justify repurchasing it again at the moment and have been on the lookout for something that does a similar job for a lot less money. That’s why when I saw that Garnier had released a Pure Active 3in1 Clay Wash Scrub Mask Oily Skin that claims to help fight Spots as well as leave you with clearer looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through Superdrug’s Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Garnier say about their Pure Active 3in1 Clay Wash Scrub Mask Oily Skin.
Our Garnier Pure Active 3in1 Clay Wash Scrub Mask Oily Skin is designed to fight the appearance of Spots, Blocked Pores and shine on the go. Designed to help you get clearer looking Skin every day, it can be used as a Face Wash, a Scrub or a Face Mask, ideal for Oily Skin complexions.
1. Face Wash, Enriched with a Zinc derivative, known for its purifying properties, and Smithsonite extract, use it as an everyday Wash to intensely cleanse and purify the Skin, remove excess Sebum and protect against the appearance of Spots.
2. Face Scrub, Enriched with Pumice, a natural exfoliant, massage it into your Forehead, Chin and Nose to remove Dead Skin Cells and unclog Pores.
3. Clay Mask, Enriched with White Clay, known for its softening and absorbing properties, use it as a Face Mask once or twice a week to help mattify the skin’s appearance and even Skin tone. Apply to dry Skin and leave on for 3 minutes.
How to use.
1. Wash, Apply to a wet Face daily. Massage in and rinse thoroughly with Water.
2. Scrub, Massage in circular motions focusing on the Forehead, Nose and Chin areas. Rinse thoroughly with Water.
3. Mask, one to two times a week, apply on your Face. Leave for three minutes. Rinse with Water.
It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Kaolin, Glycerin, Cornstarch, Titanium Dioxide, Decyl Glucoside, Pearlite, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Eucalyptus Leaf Extract, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Zinc Gluconate, Trideceth-6, Sodium Hydroxide, Cilica, Pumice, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Smithsonite Extract, Xanthan Gum, Menthol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Fragrance, CI 77007, and CI 42090, I thought that it had a delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly fresh Eucalyptus and Cucumber scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Bottle of Eucalyptus Oil over a massive pile of chopped up Cucumber.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Wash Scrub Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hair Gel rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Wash Scrub Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hair Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly gritty Face Wash that spread really easily across my Face. I also really liked that when I used it as a Face Wash that it created a really thick and foamy yet ever so slightly balmy lather, that when I used it as a Scrub that it released little pieces of Pumice Powder all over my Face, and that when I used it as a Face Mask that it set within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, matte, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Garnier Pure Active 3in1 Clay Wash Scrub Mask Oily Skin a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly fresh Eucalyptus and Cucumber scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had been a little bit grittier or had contained some kind of Exfoliating Acids to give my Skin an even deeper amount of exfoliation.
