To Be Left Outside Alone, When It’s Cold Out Here | Lush Cold Bath Bomb

Like everyone else at this time of the year, both me and my entire House are all full of some kind of Cold, Flu or Virus. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Cold Bath Bomb as part of their Bathe To Feel Better range that contains a blend of Peppermint, Lavender and Lemongrass to help you fight off any kind of Cold, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well I finally used it the other day, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their Cold Bath Bomb.

A-choose me!
Why feel run down when you can run a Bath? Cough up for this steamy, camphoric blend of fresh Eucalyptus and Peppermint to free yourself from that funk. Dramatics may significantly reduce after use.
This powerful Bath Bomb was created by dream team Lush Perfumer, Alina, and Research and Development Compounder, Mirek. Ever humble, Mirek says that, “It is Alina’s product idea and I made it a reality; let’s say it was a team effort.”
“When I was younger, I often experienced under-the-weather moments. I clearly remember steaming my Face, with a Towel over the back of my Head, to help me unwind. We aimed to create a similar experience while taking a Bath using a strong Menthol scent. Inside the Bath Bomb, there’s a small insert that has an even stronger aroma compared to the Bomb itself. You can let it melt in your Bath or, if you prefer, rub it over the Skin.”

What’s in it for you?

  • Ideal to wick away Winter Woes and Summer Sniffs.
  • Cocoa Butter Insert, gets you back up when you’re feeling down, with Wintergreen Oil, a natural source of Methyl Salicylate, and warming Clove.
  • Eucalyptus Oil, the distinct camphor scent helps to refresh your senses.
  • Lemongrass Essential Oil, lifts your mood with its sweet and herbal scent.

Leaving the World Lusher than we found it.

Made with Lemongrass Oil that contributes to the Livelihood of Long-standing Traditional Farmers in India.
Our Lemon Oil is made with the finest Lemons by a family in Calabria that has been producing Citrus Oils without Pesticides for three generations.
This Product needs no Packaging and no introduction. It will arrive naked and proud in your Parcel because we want to strip back on unnecessary Packaging.

How to use.

When you’re feeling sorry for yourself, run a nice hot Bath and drop in your Bath Bomb. As it fizzes, it will reveal the Cocoa Butter Insert, filled with Oils to support your wellbeing. Top tip from us? Rub the Insert over your Skin to soften and feel the full kick of the aromas, get that feeling off your Chest! Alternatively, allow it to melt in the Water to strengthen the scent.

How to store.

If you’re not yet desperate to hop in a nice, warm Bath, then store somewhere cool and dry until you’re ready for a lovely soak.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cornstarch, Eucalyptus Oil, Spike Lavender Oil, Organic Lavender Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Peppermint Oil, Lemon Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Rosemary Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Chamomile Blue Oil, Wintergreen Oil, Organic Candelilla Wax, Gardenia Extract, Peppermint Powder, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tin Oxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 19140:1, Colour 42090, Colour 45350, and Colour 42090:2, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint and Lemongrass scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Mug of Peppermint Tea that’s been garnished with a Slice of Lemon on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright White Foam all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous dark Green all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright White Foam to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering bright Green colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released a massive chunk of Fair Trade Cocoa Butter into the Water that ever so slowly started to melt and left behind some incredibly silky soft feeling Water. I also managed to break off a shard from the the Cocoa Butter Insert and rub it across my Chest like it said you were supposed to do, and I definitely think that it managed to open up my Airways and make me feel a lot better after I had gotten out of the Bath.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave  my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint and Lemongrass for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it’s little Cocoa Butter Insert actually managed to open up my Airways so that I could actually breathe a little bit better for at least two or three hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Cold Bath Bomb a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint and Lemongrass scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint and Lemongrass scent was also available in some other products, like a Body Lotion, a Shower Gel loaded with Menthol Crystals, or maybe even a Wax Melt.
