I’ve Got No Roots, But My Home Was Never On The Ground | Lush Roots Scalp Treatment | #Ad

I’ve suffered with a dry, flaky and sometimes irritated Scalp for years now, and no matter what I do, it always seems to calm down for a while before returning to it’s usually dry, flaky and irritated feeling former self. That’s why when the guys over at Lush very kindly asked me if I would like to try a Tub of their Roots Scalp Treatment that claims to leave you with a silky soft, calm and moisturised scalp, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A medium circular puddle of some creamy white scalp treatment, on a white background.

Here’s what Lush say about their Roots Scalp Treatment.

Stimulating Mint booster.
Tingling, cool kisses of Fresh Mint Infusion, Peppermint, and Spearmint invigorate the Scalp and Hair Follicles, as rich Honey strengthens Hair and Nettle Absolute brings balance. Shining rays of Grapefruit, Neroli and Sweet Orange offset the Mint chill to make you feel like you’ve found a glorious Sunspot amidst Arctic tundra.

How to use.

For best results, apply generously, and as regularly as you like, to dry Hair and leave on for around twenty minutes, allowing the ingredients to deeply saturate your Tresses and get to work on the Scalp. Then rinse out, Shampoo and Condition as normal. You’re ready to turn heads.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fresh Mint Infusion, Water, Cetearyl Alcohol & Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Citric Acid, Propylene Glycol, Honey, Peppermint Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, Spearmint Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Nettle Absolute, Neroli Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Fragrance, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly astringent Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Wrigley’s Extra Peppermint Chewing Gum.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Scalp Treatment, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Soufflé rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Scalp Treatment.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hair and Scalp, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Soufflé into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Conditioner that spread really easily through my Hair. I also really liked that after a couple of minutes of me applying it, that it created a really nice cooling sensation that was perfect for whenever my Scalp was feeling a little bit irritated or for whenever I had a Migraine.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, refreshed, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely volumised, a lot shinier and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it’s cooling sensation managed to calm down and soothe my Headache whenever I was in the grips of a Migraine.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Roots Scalp Treatment a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly astringent Peppermint scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Tub. I also wish that it had contained some actual Menthol Crystals, as even though the cooling sensation that the Peppermint and Spearmint Oils created was nice, especially when I had a Migraine, I think that it could have been stronger.
