Even though I used to think that Simple was a pretty boring a basic Brand, i’ve been really impressed with them lately as they seem to be releasing some amazing products and formulations that rival some of their more expensive competitors. That’s why when I saw that the Boots 24 Days of Skincare 2025 Advent Calendar contained a Tube of the Simple Invisible UV Fluid SPF 50 that claims to leave you with silky soft, protected and brighter-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website last year, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Gently apply on the Face and Neck before Sun Exposure. Re-apply generously every two hours to maintain protection, especially after Perspiring, Swimming or Towelling.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glycerin, Octocrylene, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Sodium Hydroxide, Silica, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Steareth-21, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 20, Steareth-2, Lysine Carboxymethyl Cysteinate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Gluconate, Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Stearic Acid, Dilauryl Thiodipropionate, and Glutathione, I thought that it had a very strange deep and acidic yet ever so slightly sweet Malt Vinegar scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Malt Vinegar.
It’s consistency.
I absolutely loved it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial SPF, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Lotion rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Facial SPF.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Milk that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, refreshed, slightly matte, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it felt so light-weight that I couldn’t tell that I was wearing a Facial SPF, and that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Tube with a screw top lid and a Nozzle Applicator that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Simple Invisible UV Fluid SPF 50 an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and acidic yet ever so slightly sweet Malt Vinegar scent.
