One of my favourite Childhood Literary Characters definitely had to be Paddington Bear, as I absolutely loved how quirky he was and that he always carried a Marmalade Sandwich under his Hat. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released a Bears Like Marmalade Loose Leaf Tea that claims to be inspired by Paddington and his trademark Marmalade Sandwich, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and pick it up. Well i’ve been drinking it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Bird & Blend Tea Company say about their Bears Like Marmalade Loose Leaf Tea.

We heard that a prudent Bear always carries a spare Marmalade Sandwich under his Hat in case of emergencies. Our childhood favourite Bear also asked very nicely if we could make a Blend just for him. So we brewed this fruity concoction of Orange Blossom, Rose and Lemon that turns a delightful Pink once brewed.

You’ll love this if you like.

Simply The Zest, sangria, or Fruit Salad.

It’s brewing time.

It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely sour and bitter.

It’s taste.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Apple Pieces, Rosehip, Hibiscus, Orange Peel, Sumac Berries, Lemon Peel, Orange Blossom, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Marmalade taste to it that kind of reminded me of eating a massive spoonful of Marmalade straight out of the Jar at Breakfast.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive resealable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Bears Like Marmalade Loose Leaf Tea a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Marmalade taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had tasted a little bit more of Orange.
