During Winter I drink an inordinate amount of Tea, especially anything that’s Christmas flavoured, like Chai, Mulled Cider, or Peppermint. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released a Christmas 2024 collection, which includes Chocolate Digestives Sticky Chai, Mince Pie, Mulled Cider, Snowball, Snowball Sticky Chai, and Starry Night, I obviously had to pop down to my local Bird & Blend Tea Company store and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Mince Pie Tea Bag Gift, and a Starry Night Tea Bag Gift, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without homemade Mince Pies, surely the staple of the Festive Season! Everyone knows Puff Pastry is the best! It’s brewing time.
It said that you were supposed to brew it for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Sugar Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely bitter and just tasted of Sri Lankan Black Tea.
It’s taste.
I `absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Sri Lankan Black Tea, Cinnamon, Orange Peel, Cornflowers, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly spicy and creamy Mince Pie taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a massive Mug of Black Tea over a Mince Pie that’s been smothered in some Double Cream.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very thick Cardboard Carton that kept all of the Teabags really fresh until I was ready to use one of them.

I really liked it’s taste, as even though it contained Apple Pieces, Rosehip, Hibiscus, Orange Peel, Eucalyptus, Elderberries, Lavender, Sunflower Petals, Mallow Flowers, Cornflowers, and Natural Flavouring, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly fruity Lavender and Orange taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had infused some Sprigs of Lavender into a massive Glass of freshly squeezed Orange Juice.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very thick Cardboard Carton that kept all of the Teabags really fresh until I was ready to use one of them.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Mince Pie Tea Bag Gift a nine out of ten, and the Bird & Blend Tea Company Starry Night Tea Bag Gift a seven point five out of ten. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Mince pie Tea Bag Gift, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly spicy and creamy Mince Pie taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Bird & Blend Tea Company Starry Night Tea Bag Gift, as I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious fresh and medicinal yet ever so slightly fruity Lavender and Orange taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained so much Lavender, as it kind of overpowered everything else.
