One of my favourite things to do, especially during Winter when it’s absolutely freezing outside, definitely has to be to sit by the side of the Fire with a nice Cup of Tea and read my Audiobook. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released their Christmas 2021 collection, which includes Fairytale of NY, Gingerbread Chai, Mulled Cider, Peppermint Hot Cocoa, Salted Caramel Lebkuchen, and Snowball, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Pouch of the Peppermint Hot Cocoa Loose Leaf Tea, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Mint Choc Rooibos, Dark Choc Chilli Chai, or Chocolate Digestives.
It’s brewing time.
It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely bitter and basically just tasted of very overpowering and medicinal Peppermint.
It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Roasted Dandelion Root, Cocoa Nibs, Peppermint, and Cocoa Shells, I thought that it had a delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly minty Chocolate and Mint taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had melted an entire Box of After Eight Mints.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive resealable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Peppermint Hot Cocoa Loose Leaf Tea a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly minty Chocolate and Mint taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had tasted a little bit more of Chocolate.
