I absolutely love using the Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray, especially when i’m in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up, as it’s the only thing that seems to be able to instantly calm down my Skin. That’s why when I saw that Beauty Bay had released a The Hydration Box that contained a Bottle of the Avène Hydrance Boost Serum that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and rebalanced Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Avène Thermal Spring Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Diglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Citric Acid, Fragrance, PCA, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Sclerotium Gum, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, and Water, I thought that it had a delicious clean and crisp yet ever so slightly oceanic Water scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk into the Ocean on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel-Cream Moisturiser rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel-Cream Moisturiser into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, hydrated and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Avène Hydrance Boost Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and crisp yet ever so slightly oceanic Water scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just can’t justify spending £25 on a Serum that’s essentially just a bit of Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide mixed together with some Spring Water.
