After trying and loving the Aura Clarifying Face Serum that claims to be inspired by the Byoma Clarifying Serum, i’ve been meaning to actually try something from Byoma’s main range to see how close it actually came to copying the original product. That’s why when I saw that they had released a Hydrating Serum that claims to leave you with silky soft, soothed and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through Boots’ Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Squalane, Glyceryl Oleate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ceramide NP, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cholesterol, Phytosphingosine, Tocopherol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate, Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Xanthan Gum, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate, Oleic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Alcohol, Sodium Phytate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, and Lactic Acid, I thought that it had a very subtile fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly nutty Squalane scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had dropped some Drops of Squalane Oil into a massive Glass of Seawater.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hydrating Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Hydrating Serum.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short square Plastic Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Byoma Hydrating Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly nutty Squalane scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Bottle, as 30ml of a Hydrating Serum doesn’t really last that long, especially if you have dry, dehydrated or damaged Skin.
