Scooby-Dooby-Do, Where Are You? | Lush x Scooby-Doo™ Range | Gifted

When I was a Child, one of my highlights of the week definitely had to be all of the Saturday Morning Cartoons, including Animaniacs, Dexter’s Laboratory, Hey Arnold, Pinky and the Brain, Scooby-Doo, and The Powerpuff Girls. That’s why when the guys over at Lush very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their x Scooby-Doo™ range, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about all five amazing products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cornstarch, Fragrance, Bergamot Oil, Neroli Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Water, Corn Protein, Gardenia Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Alcohol Denat, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Dipropylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 47005:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 42090:2, Colour 42053, Colour 15985:1, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Bergamot scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk into an Old Fashioned Sweet Shop on a balmy Spring Afternoon.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Blue all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Green and Orange all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Blue to turn my entire Bath a stunning bright Teal colour.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Bergamot for hours after I had used it.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cornstarch, Fragrance, Lime Oil, Olibanum Resinoid, Neroli Oil, Water, Gardenia Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 77491, Colour 47005, Colour 42090, Colour 42053, and Colour 47005:1, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lime scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Lime Cordial on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful dark Brown all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Blue and Yellow all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful dark Brown to turn my entire Bath a stunning Golden Caramel colour. Then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of vivid bright Green all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the stunning Golden Caramel colour to turn my entire Bath a mesmerising shimmering Moss Green colour.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lime for hours after I had used it.

The Lush Mystery Inc.™ Shower Gel.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Water, Fresh Carnation Petal Infusion, Calcium Lactate, Fine Sea Salt, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Lactic Acid, Vanilla Absolute, Cinnamon Bark Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Bergamot Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Cinnamal, Citral, Coumarin, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 42090, and Colour 77491, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and biscuity yet ever so slightly spicy and zesty Caramelised Biscuit scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Caramelised Biscuits into a Bowl of some Melted Butter and then had poured some Lemon Juice over it.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean ,silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and biscuity yet ever so slightly spicy and zesty Caramelised Biscuit for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical clear Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A tall cylindrical translucent gradient green and teal block of shower jelly that has a small dark green Scuba Diving Helmet shaped block of shower gummy suspended in the centre of it, on a white background.

The Lush Zoinks!™ Shower Jelly.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Water, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Laver Seaweed Infusion, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Carrageenan Extract, Fragrance, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Seaweed Absolute, Eugenol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Chlorophyllin (CI 75810), Colour 45350, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly medicinal Seaweed scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking through an Underwater Fish Tank Tunnel at an Aquarium.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Jelly, I thought that it felt very tough and rubbery yet ever so slightly squishy, and was more like a very tough and rubbery yet ever so slightly squishy Ball of Rubber rather than a squishy and slimy yet ever so slightly watery Shower Jelly. I also really liked that it’s Captain Cutler  Shower Gummy felt incredibly tough and hard yet ever so slightly squishy, and was more like an incredibly tough and hard yet ever so slightly squishy Fruit Gum rather than a soft and squishy yet ever so slightly rubbery Shower Gummy.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage both the Shower Jelly and it’s Captain Cutler Shower Gummy into my Skin, they started to release lots of thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly medicinal Seaweed for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

Their scent.

I really liked their scent, as even though they contained Chamomile Water, Glycerine, Fresh Aloe Gel, Carrageenan Extract, Fresh Cucumber, Witch Hazel Extract, Activated Charcoal, Water, and Colour 42090, I thought that they had a very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly grassy Cucumber scent to them that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a Cucumber.

What they did when I used them.

I really liked what these did when I used them, as once I had removed them from their packaging and had placed them over my Eyes, they very slowly moulded themselves to my Eyes and started to ever so slowly release little droplets of Fresh Chamomile Water and Cucumber Water all over my Eyes that helped to stick the massive piece of incredibly thick and rubbery Carrageenan Extract to my Skin.

Their results.

I absolutely loved their results, as not only did these leave my Eyes feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but they also left them looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used them.

Their packaging.

I really liked their packaging, as these came wrapped in a little piece of Biodegradable Plastic securely sealed with a Sticky Label that kept them really fresh until I was ready to use them.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Mystery Machine™ Bath Bomb an eight point five out of ten, the Lush Scooby-Doo™ Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Lush Mystery Inc.™ Shower Gel an eight out of ten, the Lush Zoinks!™ Shower Jelly a nine out of ten, and the Lush My Glasses! Eye Pads an eight out of ten. I really liked the Lush Mystery Machine™ Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Bergamot scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Ylang Ylang. I really liked the Lush Scooby-Doo™ Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lime scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit of Popping Candy to make it sound like Scooby-Doo was actually splashing around in my Bath. I really liked the Lush Mystery Inc.™ Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and biscuity yet ever so slightly spicy and zesty Caramelised Biscuit scent, it’s consistency ,what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Cinnamon Bark. I really liked the Lush Zoinks!™ Shower Jelly, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly medicinal Seaweed scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it’s Captain Cutler Shower Gummy was available to purchase separately. I really liked the Lush My Glasses! Eye Pads, as I absolutely loved their very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly grassy Cucumber scent, what they did when I used them, their results, and their packaging, but I do think that spending £7 on what is essentially just a massive Block of Carrageenan is a little bit on the expensive side.
