Empties #10 | October 2020 To July 2021

With me being in the process of totally redecorating my Bathroom i’ve been on a major decluttering kick lately, not just in my Bathroom but around my entire House too. Well whilst I was in the mist of one of my manic Cleaning binges the other day I managed to find the Bag that I keep all of my empty products in, and I thought that I would show you everything that was in it and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

A light Green rectangular hessian tote Bag full of some different shaped plastic bottles and some glass jars, on a white background.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

Hair.

What I would repurchase.

  • Arthur J Hawke Banoffee Pie Beard Oil. This was a fantastic sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Banana scented Beard Oil that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Beard Oils at the moment.
  • L’Oreal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Wonder Water. This was a brilliant thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Conditioner that left my Hair feeling the smoothest that it’s ever felt, but it’s very fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly alcoholic Coconut and Watermelon scent did kind of get on my nerves after a while.
  • Lush Agas Conditioner. This was a great hydrating Conditioner that was fantastic for whenever my Hair was feeling a little bit on the dry side, but I did find that it was incredibly hard to get out of it’s Bottle because of it’s extremely thick consistency.
  • Lush Daddy-O Shampoo. This was a brilliant sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Violet scented Conditioner that left my Hair feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, and it’s probably something that i’ll always repurchase..

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Arthur J Hawke Bourbon Biscuits Beard Oil. This was a fantastic Beard Oil that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but it’s very overpowering deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly biscuity Chocolate scent did kind of get on my nerves after a while.
  • Arthur J Hawke Caribbean Blend Beard Oil. This was a great sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly tropical Coconut & Pineapple scented Beard Oil that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but I would have just preferred it if it had smelt a little bit more of Pineapple.
AVA-J Woodland Beard Conditioner. This was a fantastic Beard Conditioner that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated an intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Ava-J Woodland Beard Shampoo. This was a fantastic Beard Shampoo that left my Beard feeling incredibly squeaky clean and hydrated, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Bright & Beardiful Grapefruit Beard Butter. This was a fabulous Beard Butter that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, hydrated an intensely moisturised, but I just couldn’t stand it’s very strange fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fishy Grapefruit scent.

Face.

What I would repurchase.

  • Like It On Top Sustain Oil Cleansing Protection. This was a beautiful thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Oil that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’m currently using a few other Facial Oils at the moment.
  • Lush Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask. This was a great Exfoliating Face Mask that left my Skin feeling incredibly smooth and hydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Exfoliating Face Masks at the moment.
  • Olay Clay Stick Mask Fresh Reset Pink Mineral Complex. This was a fabulous Face Mask that was really easy to use as it came in a twist up Tube, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Primark Naturals Balm To Oil Cleanser. This was an amazing Balm to Oil Cleanser that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean and intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately really hard to get hold of.
  • Primark X Alex Steinherr Pore Balance Blemish Rescue Stickers. These were a great Blemish Treatment that were fantastic for whenever I randomly got a very angry or red Spot that just wouldn’t go away, but they’re unfortunately really hard to get hold of.
  • Sanctuary Spa Diamond Dust Refining Scrub Face Mask. This was a great hydrating and Exfoliating Face Mask that was perfect to leave on overnight, but i’m currently using a few other Overnight Face Masks at the moment.

  • Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel. This was a great thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Mask that was perfect for whenever my Skin was feeling a little bit rough, but i’m currently using a few other Facial Peels at the moment.
  • The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane . This was an incredibly thin and oily Facial Oil that instantly sank into my Skin and left it feeling incredibly plump and hydrated, but because it was so thin I did notice that I ended up using a lot more than I needed to.
  • The Ordinary 30% AHA + 2% BHA Peeling Solution. This was an amazing thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Peel that left my Skin feeling the smoothest that it’s ever felt, but it’s scent did get on my nerves after a while.

  • Garnier Naturals Aloe Extract 3-in-1 Hydrating Aloe Water Jelly For Normal Skin. This was a great thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Moisturiser that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated and moisturised, but I did think that calling it a Jelly was a bit of a stretch.

  • Garnier Naturals Aloe Extract Toner For Normal Skin. This was a fantastic thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Toner that was great to use after I had cleansed my Face, but it’s very fresh and watery yet ever so slightly fruity Aloe Vera scent did get on my nerves after a while.
  • Primark X Alex Steinherr Plump & Glow Facial In A Stick. This was a great Solid Cleanser that was great to use whenever I was travelling, but I did think that calling it a Facial In A Stick was a bit misleading as it was just a Solid Cleanser in a twist up Tube.
  • Primark X Alex Steinherr Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask. This was a decent enough thin and creamy Eye Cream that left my Under Eyes feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it unfortunately just didn’t do enough to totally wow me.
  • Sanctuary Spa Power Peptide Awakening Eye Serum. This was a fantastic thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Eye Serum that left my Under Eyes feeling really soft and looking much brighter, but i’m currently using a few other Eye Serums at the moment.
