Empties #14 | January 2023 to June 2023

A couple of weeks ago whilst I was doing a little bit of Spring Cleaning, I cane across the Bag that I keep all of my Empty Products in, and after sorting through everything into what could be recycled and what couldn’t, I thought that I would tell you everything that i’ve use up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

A light Green rectangular hessian tote Bag full of some different shaped plastic bottles and some glass jars, on a white background.

Beard.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Arthur J Hawke Tea Tree & Mint Beard Oil. This was a fantastic Beard Oil that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated an intensely moisturised, but it unfortunately just didn’t smell enough of Tea Tree for me to totally love it.

Haircare.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Hask Red Wine Repairing 10 in 1 Leave In Conditioner. This was an amazing Leave In Conditioner that left my Hair feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated as well as looking a lot shinier and much healthier, but it unfortunately tended to solidify in it’s Bottle every time that I used it.
  • Men-ü Grooming Healthy Hair & Scalp Shampoo. This was an amazing Clarifying Shampoo that left both my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth and intensely hydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Clarifying Shampoos at the moment.

Face.

What I would repurchase.

  • Aldi Lacura Cleansing Balm. This was a fantastic Cleansing Balm that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Face Facts Ceramide Moisturising Gel Cream. This was an amazing Moisturiser that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but calling it a Gel Cream Moisturiser was a little bit misleading as it was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream.
  • Face Facts Ceramide Replenishing Eye Cream. This was an amazing Eye Cream that left my Under Eyes feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised and also managed to more or less get rid of the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, but i’m currently trying not to use any kind of Eye Cream at the moment.
  • Gentleman’s Scrub Club Original Moisturiser. This was a fantastic thin and creamy Moisturiser that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’m currently using a few other Moisturisers at the moment.
  • The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Borage Seed Oil. This was a fantastic Facial Oil that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised and i’ll probably always repurchase it, but it unfortunately left my Skin smelling of Potato Skins for a good half an hour after I had used it.
  • The Ordinary 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil. This was a fantastic Facial Oil that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised and i’ll probably always repurchase it, but i’m currently using a few other Facial Oils at the moment.
  • The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser. This was an amazing thick and oily Cleansing Balm that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but I unfortunately always run out of it a lot quicker than I think i’m going to do.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Aldi Lacura Wonderlust Rescue Mask. This was a great thick and creamy Overnight Face Mask that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Face Facts Ceramide Hydrating Gentle Cleanser. This was a great Cleansing Gel that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, soothed, plump and intensely hydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Cleansing Gels at the moment.
  • Face Facts Ceramide Repairing Serum Cream. This was a great thin and creamy Moisturiser that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but calling it a Serum Cream was a little bit misleading as it was basically just a very thin and creamy moisturising Lotion.
  • Face Facts Vitamin C Face Mist. This was a nice and refreshing Facial Mist that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump and intensely hydrated, but I didn’t really notice any brightening effects because of it’s very low percentage of Vitamin C.
  • Garnier Vitamin C Brightening Day Cream. This was an amazing Moisturiser that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised as well as looking a lot brighter and much healthier, but I just prefer the Vitamin C Serum that they do instead.
  • Glamfox Hyaluronic Vitamin Serum. This was a great Japanese inspired Hyaluronic Acid Serum that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump and intensely hydrated, but it’s unfortunately very hard to get hold of.
  • Spa Cosmetics Collagen Serum. This was a great Collagen Serum that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump and intensely hydrated as well as looking a little bit younger, but i’m currently using a few other Collagen Serums at the moment.
  • The Body Shop Chamomile Dissolve The Day Cleansing Oil. This was an amazing Cleansing Oil that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump and intensely hydrated, but they’ve unfortunately recently reformulated it’s formula and i’m just not a fan of it.

Body.

What I would repurchase.

  • Lush Magic Crystals Shower Scrub. This was an amazing thick and gritty Body Scrub with a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly grassy Mint scent, but i’m currently using a few other Body Scrubs at the moment.
  • Lush Orange Shower Scrub. This was a fantastic thick and gritty yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Scrub with a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly bitter Orange scent, but i’m currently using a few other Body Scrubs at the moment.
  • Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub. This was an amazing thick and gritty yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Scrub with a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly grassy Cherry Blossom scent, but i’m currently using a few other Body Scrubs at the moment.
  • The Body Shop British Rose Body Yoghurt. This was a fantastic thin and creamy Body Yoghurt with a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’m currently using a few other Body Lotions at the moment.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Lush Love Shower Spheres. These were a cool and quirky Encapsulated Shower Gel that had a delicious floral and zesty yet ever so slightly fresh Ylang Ylang and Lemongrass scent, but I think it would have been better if they had just been a traditional Shower Gel in a Bottle.
  • Lush Lime Bounty Body Butter. This was a fantastic Body Butter with a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lime scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but I would have preferred it if it hadn’t had the strange pieces of Coconut Oil Shavings all over the top of it.
  • Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres. These were a cool and quirky Encapsulated Shower Gel that would be great for Kids, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of their very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Strawberry scent.
  • The Body Shop Kindness & Pears Body Butter. This was a great thick and creamy Body Butter with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Pear scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • The Body Shop Strawberry Softening Body Butter. This was a great thick and creamy Body Butter with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Strawberry scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’m currently using a few other Body Butters at the moment.
  • The Yorkshire Soap Company Cola Bottles Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub. This was a great thick and creamy Shower Butter with little pieces of Sugar in it with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly spicy and fizzy Cola Bottle scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’m currently using a few other Shower Butters at the moment.
  • The Yorkshire Soap Company Witches Brew Bath, Bubble & Bathe. This was a great Bubble Bath Powder with a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly seductive Pomegranate scent that created tons of incredibly silky soft Bubbles, but i’m currently using a few other Bubble Barth Powders at the moment.

Candles.

What I would repurchase.

  • DW Home Candles Fresh Strawberry Sangria Candle. This was a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly boozy Strawberry Sangria smelling Candle that managed to fill most of my House with it’s delicious sweet and fruity scent, but it’s unfortunately really hard to get hold of.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • DW Home Candles Fresh Lemon Candle. This was a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon smelling Candle that managed to fill most of my House with it’s delicious fresh and zesty scent, but it unfortunately lost most of it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon scent about two thirds of the way down the Candle.
  • The Yorkshire Soap Company Almond Panettone Tin Candle. This was a delicious sweet and chocolatey yet ever so slightly spicy Panettone smelling Candle that managed to fill most of my House with it’s delicious Christmasy scent, but it just didn’t smell enough of Almond for me to totally love it.

There you go, that’s everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.
