Empties #19 | July 2025 To December 2025

Since the beginning of the year i’ve been on a major decluttering kick, especially when it comes to using up some of the exorbitant amount of Skincare, Body Care and Fragrances that I own. Well a couple of days ago I came across the Bag that I keep all of my Empty Products in, and after sorting through it into what could and what couldn’t be recycled, I thought that I would tell you everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

A light Green rectangular hessian tote Bag full of some different shaped plastic bottles and some glass jars, on a white background.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

Beard.

  • The Perfume People The Quirky Line Sun Beard Oil.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • The Perfume People The Quirky Line Sun Beard Oil. This was a fantastic Beard Oil with a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly masculine Orange scent that left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, thicker, fuller and intensely hydrated, but it just didn’t smell enough of Orange for me to totally love it.

Face.

What I would repurchase.

  • Aldi Lacura Pineapple Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub. This was a fantastic thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly gritty Facial Scrub that didn’t leave my Skin feeling tight or dehydrated, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Bioré UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Lotion SPF50+ PA++++. This was an amazing thin and lightweight and creamy SPF that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated and protected, but it’s unfortunately not available to buy in the UK.
  • Lush Happy Skin Self-Preserving Enzymic Facial Exfoliator. This was a brilliant thick and gritty Facial Scrub that was perfect for whenever my Skin was in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up, but it’s unfortunately really hard to get hold of.
  • Lush Pineapple Facial Wash. This was a fantastic Enzymic Facial Wash that was perfect for whenever my Skin was feeling a little bit dry and rough or was looking a little bit dull, but i’m currently using a few other Facial Washes at the moment.
  • The Ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid Solution. This was a brilliant thin and watery Salicylic Acid Serum that was fantastic for whenever my Skin was having a Breakout, but i’m currently using a few other Salicylic Acid Serums at the moment.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Aldi Lacura Hydrating Gel Serum. This was a great hydrating Gel-Cream Moisturiser that worked really well underneath my SPF, but I unfortunately just got a little bit bored of it by the end.
  • Bondi Sands SPF50 Fragrance Free Face Sunscreen Fluid. This was a great Facial Sunscreen that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated and protected, but i’m currently using a few other Facial Sunscreens at the moment.
  • Disciple Dreamy Skin Retinyl Oil. This was a fantastic thick and oily Facial Oil that also happened to contain a form of Vitamin A that left my Skin looking a little bit younger, but it’s just a little bit out of my Beauty Budget at the moment.
  • Garnier Skin Active 4% AHA + BHa & Niacinamide Charcoal Serum. This was a brilliant thin and watery Facial Oil that was perfect for whenever my Skin was feeling particularly oily or was having a Breakout, but i’m currently using a few other Blemish-Fighting Facial Serums at the moment.
  • Garnier Vitamin C* Brighting Liquid Care. This was a really nice thin and gelatinous Toner, Essence and Serum Hybrid that left my Skin feeling a lot smoother and looking a lot brighter, but I was never entirely sure how or when I was supposed to use it.
  • Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Cleanser. This was a brilliant moisturising Korean Cleanser that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but I just couldn’t stand it’s very overwhelming deep and woody yet ever so slightly smokey Birch scent.
  • Senchi Dewy Face Serum. This was a great Hydrating Facial Serum that was perfect to layer underneath the rest of my Facial Serums whenever my Skin was feeling particularly dry and dehydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Hydrating Facial Serums at the moment.
  • The Body Shop Edelweiss Daily Concentrate Serum . This was a really nice Antioxidant Serum that was perfect for whenever my Skin was in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up, but i’m currently using a few other Antioxidant Serums at the moment.
  • The Body Shop Edelweiss Smoothing Day Cream. This was a really nice Day Cream to layer with the corresponding Facial Serum, but i’m currently using a few other Day Creams at the moment.
  • The INKEY List Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum. This was an amazing Facial Serum that really helped whenever my Skin was having a Flare-Up and I needed to calm it down and repair it, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s packaging.
  • The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + Phytoceramides. This was a fantastic thick and creamy Moisturiser that was perfect for whenever I was using a Retinal Serum, but i’ve found something that’s a lot cheaper and I like using even more
  • The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. This was a really nice thin and watery Eye Serum that didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, but if i’m going to use any kind of Under Eye product, I prefer it to contain some kind of Caffeine to make me look more awake.

Lips.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Lush Crush Lip Butter. This was a brilliant Lip Balm that left my Lips feeling incredibly silky soft, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but i’ve had a few of them now and the Tube unfortunately always ends up breaking.

Hands.

What I would repurchase.

  • Lush Dual Cherry Soap. This was a fantastic Soap with a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly malty Lime scent that left my Hands feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft and hydrated, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Lush Guardian Shield Soap. This was a fantastic Soap with a delicious fresh and sweet yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent that left my Hands feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft and hydrated, but it’s delicious fresh and sweet yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent kind of got on my nerves after a while.

Body.

What I would repurchase.

  • Lush Bananaaaa! Shower Cream. This was an incredibly moisturising Shower Cream with a delicious creamy and fruity yet ever so slightly nutty Banana scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, soft, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but i’m currently using a few other Shower Creams at the moment.
  • Lush Dirty Springwash Shower Gel. This was a brilliant thin and oily Shower Gel with a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly herbal Spearmint scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, moisturised and intensely hydrated, and i’ve already repurchased it.
  • Lush Snow Fairy Body Lotion. This was a fantastic thick and creamy Body Lotion with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Candy Floss scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • Lush Snow Fairy Body Scrub. This was a brilliant thick and marshmallowy Sugar Scrub with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Candy Floss scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, soft, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.
  • The Body Shop Peppermint Invigorating Body Gel. This was an incredibly thick and gelatinous Body Gel with a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint scent that was perfect for whenever it was boiling hot outside and I felt like I was on Fire, and i’ve already repurchased it.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner. This was a really nice thick and creamy Body Conditioner with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Candy Floss scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but I just prefer to use a Body Lotion rather than a Body Conditioner.
  • Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel. This was a really nice thick and gelatinous Shower Gel with a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Candy Floss scent that left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft and intensely hydrated, but I just prefer their Snow Fairy Milkshake Shower Gel instead.
  • Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Shower Slime. This was a really cool thick and gloopy Shower Slime that would be great for Kids, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly masculine Juniperberry scent.

Fragrance.

What I would repurchase.

  • Lush Dirty Body Spray. This was a fantastic Body Spray with a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly herbal Spearmint scent that lasted on both my Skin and Clothes all day, and i’ve already repurchased it.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Lush Big Body Spray. This was a fantastic Body Spray with a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly oceanic Violet scent that lasted on both my Skin and Clothes all day, but when I had about an eighth of it left I noticed that it started to give off a very weird bitter Onion scent.

Candles.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

Aldi Hotel Collection Sweet Almond & Macaroon Candle. This was a great Candle with a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly synthetic Almond and Coconut scent that managed to fill most of my Home with it’s delicious scent, but it unfortunately lost most of it’s scent when I had gotten about three-quarters of the way down.

  • Yankee Candle Sun-Drenched Apricot Rose. This was a fantastic Candle with a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Rose scent that managed to fill most of my Home with it’s delicious scent, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.

There you go, that’s everything that i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.
